I am newly interested in longbows and would like to utilize everyone's expertise. Can I make a longbow with no experiance? What woods can I use? Could I experiment with woods like cedar or is it pretty well set what woods will work? Any other info would be greatly appreciated; suck as i would be better off buys a new or used bow. Does the price of a bow make a hugh difference? Thanks, Baker
Archery is one of those healthy obsessions. Unfortunately I can't shoot my .45 in my yard, but my bow is nice and stealthy. Nothing like launching a dozen arrows 4 or more days a week, especially before work. It helps me stay focused and relaxed. Its almost become a disease: (I can't be the first to think of this one) OCAD Obsessive Compulsive Archery Disorder Its amazing that even only 15 minutes with bow in hand can help make ...

Apparently, Gold Tip uses a special tapered insert. I was having trouble loosing my inserts (along with my field point) in the targets. So I got some new arrows. They are Hit Beman MFX Classics. I have only shot them at home, but they seem to hold up pretty well. The insert actually sits deep into the shaft so that the field point ...
Hey everyone, Anyone able to give me input to this bow? I am looking to get something more high end than my current recurve and this one looks to fit my wants and needs. I am sort of thinking 50 lbs in the taller of the 2 models. And I cant find info on limb replacements (aka, they can just be replaced with different weights, right?). In the past I have found most recurves to have excessive vibration and a bit twangy even with puffs, legs and/or pads on the limbs. My purpose ...
